Our commitment
Koda Reads is built by a small team that cares about every creator having access to the tools we make. We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for both this website and the Koda mobile app.
What we've done
- Keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
- Skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen reader users
- Semantic HTML and ARIA labels on interactive elements
- Respect for OS-level "Reduce Motion" preferences
- Alt text on meaningful images, decorative images hidden from assistive tech
- Sufficient color contrast against our dark interface
- Card prompter and manual speed controls as full alternatives to voice-activated scrolling
Known limitations
- Our Gaegu hand-drawn brand font is part of our identity but may be harder to read for some users with low vision or dyslexia. Your browser's zoom and Reader Mode work normally on every page of this site.
- The Koda mobile app's custom recording interface (the chunk arc and gesture-based controls) is currently being audited for full VoiceOver and TalkBack support. We expect improvements within the first month after launch.
- Voice-activated scrolling requires hearing input. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, the card prompter mode and manual speed slider are designed to be fully equivalent alternatives.
Reporting a barrier
If you find an accessibility barrier on this site or in the Koda app, please let us know. We respond within 2 to 3 business days and prioritize fixes that block users from completing core flows.

Conformance status
This site is built to substantially conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit. This statement will be updated as we close known gaps and add new platform coverage.
